Equipment Grants May Be Obtained From the Following Sources:
BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE (BJA),
Edward Byrne Memorial State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance.
Each state has an office that administers Byrne grants. It is suggested that you contact your local police academy for the location of the Byrne grant administrator for your area.
HOMELAND SECURITY FUNDING
Securing Homeland Security Grants to purchase equipment takes some research.
Depending upon the state, these federal funds may have to be applied at the state or county level. It is suggested that you contact your state Emergency Management Association to learn how Homeland Security Grants are applied for in your location.
